Terms and Conditions for Pre-Order

Customers of the Nikon Store can pre-order any product that shows an option to pre-order. This process enables you to reserve a product before it becomes available. When the customer pre-orders a product from the Store, it is reserved so that they can be among the first to receive the product from the date on which it becomes available to purchase.

Not all products in the Nikon Store are eligible to be pre-ordered; the pre-order option is only available for products due for release that are not yet in stock in the Store. Customers can determine whether a given product is available for pre-order by navigating to the relevant product page; if pre-ordering is an option, this will be made clear by an accompanying ‘pre-order’ button and product status text. Once a product available for pre-order passes its sales start date, it will no longer be available for pre-order.

Customers are not permitted to include pre-order products and already-available products in the same order, or to include multiple pre-order products in the same order. Instead, different types of pre-order and already-available products must be ordered separately.

Payment for pre-orders on the Nikon Store can only be made by credit card. The Store accepts Visa, American Express and MasterCard as payment methods.

Pre-orders made through the Nikon Store are to be considered reservations rather than purchases, until the point at which payment is taken when the order is ready to be shipped. The Store will receive payment authorisation at the time the order is placed, and the credit card account will be charged for the product at the time the order is shipped. We do not take any payment from the customer’s credit card at the point the pre-order takes place.

After placing a pre-order through the Nikon Store, you will be notified of the order having been finalised with a confirmation email, which will state which product you have reserved. If 24 hours have passed after your reservation of a product from the Nikon Store and you have not yet received a confirmation email, please contact our customer service team.

When your order is ready to be shipped, you will receive an email with the invoice and details of the shipment. At this time, your credit card will be charged. If for any reason, your credit card cannot be charged at the time your order is ready to be shipped, your order will be cancelled. If your card is set to expire before the date on which your order is due to be shipped, please contact our customer support staff; we will be able to cancel your order for you so that you can make a new reservation of the product.

As a customer of the Nikon Store, you can cancel your pre-order at any time by sending us an email. If you wish to cancel your pre-order, please contact our customer support team.
